Meet our People
Craig Zepeda – “I want a long career with MetLife, working here gives me a sense of pride”
Craig worked with MetLife in the United States for ten years and was adamant to continue on with MetLife when he relocated to Sydney in 2009. “I was determined to continue my career with MetLife when I moved to Sydney. The company values align with my own and that makes it easy to come to work each day.” Craig joined MetLife Australia in a New Business Administrator role and was soon promoted to an Institutional Business Administrator role. “At MetLife, I feel like I count, I was given the opportunity to show what I can do and have been rewarded for my efforts in the short time that I have been here. I have a real sense of pride when I talk about MetLife; the culture here is supportive, friendly and flexible.”
Keiren Hynes – “I find my job fascinating and rewarding and can see the value add that my role has on the end result”
Keiren started with MetLife in April 2009 as a Medical Claims Assessor (Psychology). “I have always worked as a practising clinical psychologist, but MetLife provided the right career challenge for me.” Keiren is one of our specialist claims staff who focuses on the assessment of claims with a psychological or mental health component. “Since joining MetLife, I have been able to use my specialist skills and knowledge in my job as well as learn about life insurance. This opportunity has really inspired me to move forward in my career and has also allowed our organisation to enhance the claims service provided to customers by having trained psychologists on board. The culture at MetLife is dynamic, with a focus on continuous learning for employees.”
Tina Vo – “It’s good to know that Managers and Leaders are on your side”
Tina was employed in February 2007 as an Accounting Administrator in the Finance team. In 2008, Tina was promoted to the role of Offshore Accountant and in mid 2009, transferred into a Financial Accountant role. “I was given the opportunity to step up and take on additional responsibility after only a short period of time; it’s nice to know that managers and leaders at MetLife believe in me and my capabilities. I’ve been given the right opportunities to learn the building blocks of different areas within Finance, which is a great foundation for a long career in this field. I have influence and input into where I want to go, and have been nurtured by MetLife to achieve my goals and ambitions. The company has supported me in the completion of my CA, providing financial assistance and leave as needed and my manager recognised the link between my study and my job, making it easy to balance the two. MetLife is made up of talented and friendly people, it’s fantastic to work in a relaxed environment where high performance is valued and encouraged.”

Scott Denzel has been with MetLife for 4 years as the Institutional Pricing Manager in the Actuarial team. “It's rewarding to be part of a group of people with extensive expertise in life insurance, enabling us to not only understand our customers’ needs but to be able to respond with the best product solutions. The ability to draw upon the US expertise of MetLife, particularly in the group insurance market really moves the organisation forward.
