MetLife has appointed Matt Lippiatt to lead its retail sales team, as part of the development of its retail life insurance offer which will launch to advisers and brokers in 2018.
Mr Lippiatt joins MetLife in the newly created role Head of Retail Sales. He most recently spent 11 years with AMP, where he was responsible for managing licensee relationships and growing retail insurance and platform sales via IFA advisers around Australia.
Chesne Stafford, Chief Distribution Officer, welcomed Mr Lippiatt to the MetLife team: “Matt has a great combination of experience working across many areas of life insurance, including group, corporate and retail, and with a strong wealth background. He is in tune with the needs and wants of advisers and their clients and will be instrumental not only in helping us to deliver our initial retail offer next year, but in working closely with our adviser partners to continuously identify and drive future enhancements.”
Ms Stafford added: “MetLife is a specialist life insurer with a successful track record in Australia through group and corporate schemes, including a strong claims philosophy that will carry through to our new retail offer. We have the support of our global MetLife network, coupled with exceptional local expertise, and I’m excited to welcome Matt to our growing retail team.”
