METLIFE FINALIST FOR INNOVATION, HEALTH AND UNDERWRITING IN ALUCA AWARDS

MetLife has been named a finalist in three categories for the upcoming ALUCA (Australasian Life Underwriting and Claims Association) Awards, which recognise excellence in life insurance claims and underwriting.

MetLife has been shortlisted in three categories:

  1. Innovation Team Award for MetLife’s digital claims platform
  2. Rehabilitation Award for Melissa Colonna’s work on MetLife’s Nourish program
  3. Underwriting Team Award for MetLife’s redesign of the underwriting process
     

The ALUCA awards celebrate the value that great Life Insurance underwriting, claims, rehabilitation and other professionals or services contribute to the industry.

The announcement of the Award finalists comes on the back of an exciting year for MetLife, having focused on innovation, health and reimaging the underwriting process for customers.

Gerard McDermott, MetLife Chief Customer and Strategy Officer, said: “Innovation, rehabilitation and underwriting have been key areas of focus for us – we knew improvement was needed to deliver an easier and more caring life insurance experience for our members.

“We’re really pleased to have been recognised in these three categories, as it shows the impact we’re having on the industry.”

The winners will be announced by ALUCA on 22 May 2019 in Melbourne.

The MetLife Adviser-Client Relationship Report 2018 interviewed approximately 700 consumers who have purchased life insurance through an adviser, 300 consumers who are considering purchasing life insurance through an adviser in the next two years and 200 SMEs.
