MetLife finalist in ALUCA Life Insurance Excellence Awards 2021

MetLife Australia has been named a finalist in all ten categories in the upcoming ALUCA (Australasian Life Underwriting and Claims Association) Life Insurance Excellence Awards 2021, which recognise excellence in life insurance claims and underwriting.
MetLife has been shortlisted across all individual and team award categories demonstrating the strength of the organisation’s Operations team, who responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by innovating and ensuring customers received the best possible experience, as well as being supported through their health journey.
The categories in which MetLife have been shortlisted are:
- Leadership Award for Arleen Hatton, Chief Underwriting Officer
- Underwriting Award for Sonya Strachan, Principal Technical Underwriter
- Claims Award for Victor Tran, Claims Team Leader
- Rehabilitation Award for Melissa Colonna, Senior Manager, Strategy and Recovery
- Rising Star Award for Nicholas Laurie, Claims Assessor
- David Mico Education Award, Brad Barker, Senior Technical Underwriting Manager
- Underwriting Team Award for MetLife Australia Underwriting Team and MetLife Technical Underwriting and Governance Team
- Claims Team Award for MetLife Claims Leadership Team
- Customer Service Team Award for MetLife Strategy and Recovery Team
- Innovation Team Award for MetLife 360Health Team
Now in its fourth year, the prestigious ALUCA awards celebrate the value that great Life Insurance underwriting, claims, rehabilitation and other professionals or services contribute to the industry. The awards also highlight best practice across the industry and the best in the profession.

The winners will be announced by ALUCA at an awards event on Thursday 10 June 2021 in Sydney.
