MetLife has been proudly supporting Two Good for two years, the concept is very simple “You eat one, we treat one”. So, for every lunch that you buy from them, they donate a lunch to a domestic violence refuge or crisis centre. Two Good is elegant in its simplicity and its message.

How did I get involved in Two Good?

An ex-colleague introduced me to Two Good and it resonated with me. So much so, that I asked Two Good to help me to provide food to another charity that I work with.

How does MetLife support Two Good?

Two Good not only provides meals to refuges and crisis centres, they also provide training programs for women who have been faced with domestic violence situations and care packs to shelters.

The Two Good initiative contains the “eat with love, together” idea which gave us the idea at MetLife of sharing a lunch together as a group. This provides camaraderie in the office, it breaks down barriers and everybody comes together with the added bonus of directly supporting a fantastic cause, while eating their lunch in a warm inviting environment together. It is inspiring to see a room full of colleagues enjoying a meal together while chatting and enjoying the moment.

The recipes are supplied by international chefs - Matt Moran, Kylie Kwong and Stephanie Alexander to name a few. The menu gets changed every month, but the food is always amazing and nutritious, and is delivered in beautiful jars.

At MetLife, we have held four official functions that have served approx. 300 meals to our staff resulting in 300 meals for domestic violence refuges and people sleeping rough.

What do people say?

Our MetLife people are so open, gracious and enthusiastic about Two Good. They love the concept, it is simple and it is extremely uplifting. They love the fact that it is helping someone less fortunate with the added bonus of a yummy lunch that is shared together.
