Keiran McKinnon

Keiran joined MetLife in 2012 and has served in a range of leadership roles spanning business development, reinsurance, finance, customer and product. Appointed MetLife’s Chief Insurance Officer in October 2026, Keiran has ownership of product and pricing solutions and client partnerships for all customer segments.

Prior to this, Keiran was MetLife’s Chief Financial Officer since 2023 where he led overall financial management, including financial accounting and reporting, strategic planning and performance management, capital optimisation, reinsurance and actuarial.

Keiran has 25 years’ experience in insurance and financial services, having held senior roles with multinational firms including ING Group, Swiss Re, Marsh & McLennan Companies and TAL. His deep sector expertise and diverse experience gives him a unique skill set spanning commercial, financial and customer outcomes. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering a customer-centric culture, and helping organisations navigate changing market, regulatory and economic environments.

Keiran holds a Bachelor of Business & Commerce (Applied Finance) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 2025, he also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
