MetLife Australia expands 360Health eligibility

May 02, 2024
MetLife Australia has added access for parents of customers to its award-winning 360Health program at no extra cost.
According to MetLife’s Future Insights research, 87% of Australians want wellbeing to be promoted, however, only 58% say society is set up to support wellbeing. The same research found 53% of people hope to live to 100. With the Australian population aging (1 in 6 are over 65)1, access to vital services that enable customers to manage their health is more important than ever.
Speaking about 360Health, MetLife’s Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Lina Saliba stated: “360Health gives customers access to an award-winning suite of health services from medical and mental health through to nutrition and fitness advice. Many of these services can be used whenever or wherever required irrespective of whether you are healthy or making a claim. They complement existing treatments to help support health and wellbeing goals.”
Easy access to health services, especially for people outside metro areas, is vital to helping people prevent and recover from illness and injury, as well as live healthier for longer. Children and partners of eligible customers are already able to link to 360Health, and this has now been extended to parents, including in-laws, making approximately 3 million more people eligible to use the program’s ever-growing suite of health support resources.
MetLife believes that expanding eligibility to 360Health also supports customers who are increasingly becoming carers of aging or ill parents. In Australia, 1 in 10people are carers and research shows they are 2.5 times more likely to have low wellbeing when compared with the average Australian.
“We know that family plays an important role in the health and wellbeing of customers. That is why we want the parents of customers to also have access to the benefits of 360Health. Caring for a parent can be difficult and this is another way to support our customers. The expansion of the 360Health program to parents of customers continues MetLife Australia’s commitment to holistic customer care.” Lina added.
