MetLife gains GPTW certification

MetLife Australia has been certified as a Great Place to Work 2018.
“I’m proud to see that MetLife has been certified as a Great Place to Work,” says MetLife Australia Acting CEO Vince Watt.
“This is the result of empowering our people to create an environment where they can be their best and included an extensive review of our systems and processes.”
The annual Great Place to Work survey provides us with valuable feedback at MetLife Australia, and is a key indicator of our progress and ultimately a measure of the success of our 2020 Strategy.
“Our result reflects how we all feel about coming to work every day,” Mr Watt says. “If working at MetLife is a better place for us, it will also be better for our customers. The culture that we build is an asset we can turn into a competitive advantage for our business, which is something that cannot be replicated.”
Some of the initiatives this year that support the GPTW certification include the introduction of a new people leaders leadership training program, a more structured talent program, more face-to-face forums, introduction of agile and more supportive policies for our people, among other things.
MetLife also supports the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of our employees with four Thrive committees – Diversity and Inclusion, Social Club, Corporate Social Responsibility and Wellbeing and Safety Committee. These committees are driven by many passionate people in the business, who continually inspire everyone.
