METLIFE JOINS INDUSTRY TO LAUNCH FINAL PYS EFFORT

In conjunction with fellow industry participants, and driven by the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and the Financial Services Council, MetLife is delighted to join a campaign to support the efforts of our superannuation clients to inform their members of upcoming changes brought about by the Protect Your Super legislation.

The campaign is a final push to encourage super fund members to check their super and insurance before 1 July. The campaign will be launched through digital advertising and social media with a heavy focus on PR/media already having an impact. The story received national coverage through mainstream news early this month and has also been prevalent through radio.

We’ve been really pleased with how our clients have approached the PYS member communication. Many of our clients have used the insights we provided through bespoke behavioural science led research into the best ways to communicate change and maximise member engagement for a product that many don’t even know they have.  Some clients have seen email open rates leap from 35–40% up to nearly 55% which is especially pleasing.  This campaign will support those efforts and act as a final reminder to members to check their super and insurance arrangements.

Super fund members will be directed to timetocheck.com.au or their super fund to learn about the potential impact. For many, this will just simply be a reminder to the communication they’ve already received from their super fund.

MetLife has also recently launched further thought leadership research to more thoroughly understand the link between insurance awareness and engagement, and the benefits that flow through to the members’ perception, satisfaction and loyalty with their super fund.

If you’d like to hear more about the research and organise a presentation for your team, please contact your MetLife Relationship Manager.
