Upcoming Changes for IDII and DDO

To comply with APRA's Individual Disability Income Insurance (IDII) sustainability measures and ASIC's Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), we are updating our products – MetLife Protect and MetLife Protect Super.

These combined changes will come into effect on 1 October 2021.

  • An understanding of how income protection products are structured as a consequence of the APRA IDII sustainability measures.
  • The considerations needed when advising on legacy income protection products.
  • How MetLife has re-designed it’s Income Cover product to comply with APRA IDII measures.
