MetLife awarded best insurer second year in a row

MetLife Australia has won Best Insurer at the 2021 Super Fund of the Year Awards, having also secured the award in 2020. Run by Super Review with independent actuarial and superannuation consultancy Heron Partnership, the annual awards aim to elevate the industry and recognise organisations demonstrating excellence in retirement income solutions and products.
MetLife CEO Richard Nunn said: “We’re thrilled to have won the Best Insurer Award in the Super Fund of the Year Awards. This is our second consecutive win and is testament to our ongoing customer focus and claims philosophy.

The judging, managed by Heron Partnership noted MetLife’s focus on customers and partners.

MetLife was awarded Best Insurer for 2021, announced at a virtual awards ceremony, beating out competition from four other insurers. The much sought-after prestigious Super Fund of the Year Award is now in its 8th year.
MetLife covers over 1.6 million lives in Australia and paid over $533m in claims to policy holders in 2020. MetLife has recently been awarded five ALUCA Awards for underwriting, rehabilitation and customer service.
