MetLife Australia has developed a new corporate impact calculator that illustrates the value of using its 360Health program to improve holistic health of employees and reduce absenteeism.
The 360Health program provides a personalised approach to health and wellness by offering a range of services and solutions, such as access to mental health assist, medical experts, virtual services and early intervention to support faster health recovery.
According to MetLife's latest employee benefits trends study1, 82% of employees surveyed say that health and wellness programs are important to them, and 74% say that health and wellbeing programs help them to be more productive at work. However, only 48% of employees say that their employer offers them enough health and wellbeing support.
For employers, 360Health is a workplace health and wellbeing solution available to MetLife insured employees and their families at no additional cost. The program helps employees improve their physical, mental, and financial wellbeing, and enhance productivity and engagement levels with employers.
The corporate impact calculator provides employers with an estimated benefit of using health interventions via the 360Health program and is measured by a dollar value taking into account the impact of absenteeism/presenteeism, medical costs, and employee loyalty.*
Commenting on the importance of employee health and wellbeing programs, MetLife Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Lina Saliba said: "At MetLife, we believe that employee health and wellness is not just about personal wellbeing, it’s also a business imperative. Our 360Health program is designed to help employers and employees achieve their health and wellness goals, and to create a culture of wellbeing in the workplace. Our new corporate impact calculator is a powerful tool that shows the estimated value of 360Health for employers, and how engagement can benefit both the employer and the employee."
*Note: Calculations are based on the data provided by the employer and are based on hypothetical scenarios. The accuracy of the calculated outcome can't be predicted with certainty and outcomes that reflect a higher benefit are generally subject to higher risks and volatility. The actual benefit can vary widely over time, especially for longer term use. There are a number of factors including human behaviours that can significantly influence the results. The results generated by the impact calculator are estimates only and should not be relied upon. Users of the impact calculator should make their own enquiries.
