MetLife Australia has announced a 3-month premium waiver for customers impacted by Cyclone Alfred in Queensland and New South Wales. MetLife is keenly aware of the pressures on those affected and our customers’ life insurance should be one less thing that they need to worry about as they manage the disruption and damage caused by this natural disaster.
From 6 March 2025 to 6 June 2025, impacted customers with MetLife Protect policies in affected postcodes will be able to apply for a premium waiver.
MetLife’s Chief Insurance Officer Meray El-Khoury said, “We know that this is an emotionally and financially challenging time for those impacted. We hope this premium waiver eases some of the burden, reassuring our customers that their life insurance cover remains in place when they need it most.”
