MEDIA RELEASE
Sydney, 10 February 2026 – MetLife Australia’s ongoing work to foster true belonging for all its employees is at the heart of the latest recognition from the Diversity Council Australia (DCA). Acknowledged for the 2025–26 period, MetLife is the only life insurer in this year’s list, scoring above the national benchmark across key measures including awareness, engagement, inclusive organisational climate, and inclusive leadership.
On behalf of all our people, we are thrilled that our commitment to our employees, and vice versa, has been recognised again by DCA as an Inclusive Employer. This achievement validates the culture we have built around making sure our people feel accepted and supported, where we all feel we belong. We believe that we can’t take care of our customers without taking care of our people. They are the heart of our business, with our customers relying on them every day. Inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a business imperative.
Alex Sosnov, Chief People & Culture Officer of MetLife Australia highlighted that.
“Participating in the DCA Inclusive Employer Index gives us valuable recognition and insights to keep evolving our benefits and other workplace initiatives to meet the needs of our people.”
MetLife’s inclusive culture is built on tangible actions and programs that make a difference, such as:
- Inclusive and flexible leave policies, support and education on menopause, fertility and gender affirmation
- Partnership with Hidden Disabilities providing training and support on neurodivergence
- Ongoing work with Pride In Diversity and InsurePride to support our LGBTQ+ employees and customers, and support industrywide initiatives that make insurance more accessible
MetLife has been designated a DCA inclusive employer since 2021. The results of the latest survey will be used to continue the company’s work to build an inclusive workplace, aligned to the company’s global Sustainability strategy.
