Expert Medical Opinion is available at no additional cost to MetLife policy holders and their children, partner, parents, and parents in-law. If you have MetLife insurance, whether it's through your employer, super fund, or directly with us, you can access Expert Medical Opinion and other 360Health services. You can use it to discuss your own condition or that of a loved one.

No, you do not need a referral to use Expert Medical Opinion through 360Health. The service is designed to provide clarity and guidance on a diagnosis and possible treatment options, but it shouldn't replace your GP or treating doctor.

During your virtual consultation, an Australian-based GP will talk through your questions and, with your consent, collect your medical records. A global specialist will then review your case and provide a detailed report, which the GP will walk through with you and can share with your treating doctors. Examples of conditions you might ask about include back pain, cancer, or stomach issues.
