Mental Health Assist

If you want to discuss mental health symptoms or get advice on a diagnosis, Mental Health Assist gives you direct access to a psychologist or psychiatrist within 10 days who can:

  • Discuss a diagnosis

  • Guide you through clinical options

  • Answer questions and help you feel more informed

Frequently asked questions

Mental Health Assist is available at no additional cost to MetLife policy holders and their children, partner, parents, and parents in-law. If you have MetLife insurance, whether it's through your employer, super fund, or directly with us, you can access Mental Health Assist and other 360Health services.

No, you do not need a referral to use Mental Health Assist through 360Health. The service is designed to provide guidance and advice, but it shouldn't replace your GP.

During your virtual consultation with a psychologist or psychiatrist, you'll discuss your symptoms and history and they will then provide a diagnosis where possible, as well as recommended treatment options. They’ll then put together a detailed report outlining your conversation and any plans discussed. After your consultation, your mental health nurse will go through the report with you. They’ll check in at 1 month and 3 months and provide additional support as needed.

No, all consultations are discrete. Teladoc Health will not share details of your report or the nature of your enquiry without your consent.
